Partners and Donors

The Mekong Dolphin Conservation Project is co-ordinated by Isabel Beasley through James Cook University, Australia, in close collaboration with the Cambodian Department of Fisheries.  In 2004, MDCP began collaborating with the Cambodian Rural Development Team (CRDT), to provide rural development in exchange for increasing the communities co-operation with dolphin and riverine conservation.

In addition to project partners, MDCP has received generous financial and technical support from a number of donors:

School of Tropical Environment Studies and Geography, James Cook University
Department of Fisheries, Cambodia
Cambodian Rural Development Team

The British Embassy, Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Mekong River Commission
Rufford Foundation Small Grants Programme
Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society (WDCS)
